As the child of a military man, I frequently found myself uprooted to a new town, surrounded by strangers, and entertained myself with stories in my head as a way to cope. These stories morphed into my first two books and were not going to be published until family and friends continued to press me into releasing them for the enjoyment of others. All of my books are fiction, but have relevance in my desire to help in any way to eliminate child abuse, to offer hope, and maybe even a smile or two.

Angel's Blues, an intimate, character-driven novel about what role we have in the lives of others and how it’s possible to persevere against what fate seems to offer. Disturbing yet provocative, this novel is ultimately a love story about how one man must make peace with his past in order to have a future. For, in spite of his demons, an angel awaits willing to lead the way.
Michael O'Mara suffers physical and emotional abuse as a child, and we follow him through all the nightmares, suffering, self-doubt, and finally triumph over his demons.

Song of the Snowman, is Brian Burnette's story, a twelve-year-old boy, with a heart of gold, whose life is defined by poverty and loneliness. His mother is a self-absorbed alcoholic who neglects her son, leaving him to fend for himself in a world as challenging as it is unkind. Similar to Angel's Blues, we follow Brian as he learns to cope with the neglect and eventually learns to love and accept love from those dear to him.

Purdie Magee, the story of a young woman that has little self-esteem, but a very large heart. Accepting life as it comes with very little expectation, Purdie finally finds love and acceptance through a chance encounter at the local police station. This book is not as 'dark' as the previous two, but does illustrate another form of abuse that can be prevented through simple awareness.
